DAO Labs Community Q3 2026 in Review cover graphic highlighting the quarter's Social Mining milestones

ATR.- Q3 2026 was the quarter Social Mining stepped outside crypto. Between July and September, our community crowned World Cup champions, opened a hub for a 150-year-old Italian coffee brand, stress-tested a new Layer-2 for Hyperliquid, and voted in our first community polls.

Every one of these milestones was powered by Social Miners: people who earn by creating real value, not by spending money. This recap is our thank-you to them.

July: the DAOVERSE World Cup crowns its champions

The quarter opened with the DAOVERSE World Cup Smashing Social Mining Meleé. Over five rounds, 32 Social Miners delivered 253 submissions and earned 39,469 points (about $395).

Their content drew more than 355,000 views on X alone, with 4,453 likes and 4,159 reposts. CoinMarketCap, Instagram, Binance Square, LinkedIn and YouTube added roughly 11,000 more views.

The podium:

  • 1st, @prof_michaelt: a beginner-friendly video guide to the DAOVERSE Marketplace and its P2P validation system.

  • 2nd, @everyoung1991: a personal story of two years in Social Mining, learning design and video editing while earning.

  • 3rd, @tinytus1: a witty post on why proof of quality, not volume, is what gets rewarded.

August: Social Mining goes beyond Web3

In August we launched the Cafè Barbera Hub, our first hub for a traditional, brick-and-mortar business. Cafè Barbera carries more than 150 years of Italian coffee heritage, and now Social Miners help it grow.

On the hub, miners share brand news and store openings, complete promotional tasks, and build Reputation for steady contributions. More features unlock as miners prove their activity and quality.

The launch matters beyond coffee. It shows Social Mining is a framework any brand can use, not a crypto-only tool. Read more in DAO Labs Launches Cafè Barbera Hub.

Cafè Barbera's Brew Your Story challenge asked miners to share their morning coffee rituals with @Barbera_1870. Four country winners took home coffee: @neoxyrus7 (Philippines), @oluwa_samlex (Nigeria), @2mrpc (Türkiye) and @cuemnee (Vietnam), with 34 more storytellers earning runner-up shout-outs. Read their stories in Morning Coffee Rituals Across the Globe.

September: miners decode NEAR's IronClaw 1.0

When NEAR AI released IronClaw 1.0, a WhoTweets research task asked miners to explain its agent architecture and NEAR AI staking. Instead of promo chatter, they published sharp technical breakdowns of how IronClaw separates an agent's thinking from its actions.

@2mrpc's deep dive alone passed 19,500 organic views on X. We featured six standout analyses, from @olapadesam00, @OkonkwoJac30717, @Delight_251, @2mrpc, @Meenah_Creates and @OriaOres, in What NEAR's IronClaw 1.0 Teaches Us About Agent Architecture.

September: 33 writers put Kinetiq's Elysium to the test

For the Enter Elysium campaign, we asked our writers to pressure-test Kinetiq's new Layer-2 for Hyperliquid. Its claim: sequencer fees fund buybacks and burns of KNTQ, so the L2 feeds value back to the chain beneath it.

33 writers published 96 posts across X, LinkedIn and Binance Square. They drew 66,143 views, 3,111 likes, 856 comments and 1,315 reposts, sharing 19,842 points (about $198).

The best work was sharp, not promotional. One writer summed up the community's caveat: the burn is not the product; the activity producing it is. Top contributors were Meenah_Creates, everyoung1991 and 2mrpc, and Kinetiq's Global Head of Growth engaged with the community's articles.

September: Prediction Raffles and our first community polls

On September 14 we launched Prediction Raffles, three game formats (Prediction, Snap and Raffle) that pay points for every vote and more for every correct call. The same release added Gifted Prizes, physical merch shipped straight to winners, and a fully itemized points ledger.

The first round of community polls put the new games to work: 2,049 votes across 16 questions, with 2,645 points shared. The community knows its fundamentals: 28 miners aced all 10 trivia questions, and proud919 did it in 44 seconds. The predictions held a surprise few saw coming, as LinkedIn Articles beat X posts as the most-used content format.

Zealous_ayo464 topped the leaderboard with 35.41 points, ahead of Janet24446833 and Omootolorin. Read the full results: Community Polls: Results, Highlights and Winners.

Q3 by the numbers

Across our three headline community initiatives, Social Miners earned more than 61,000 points. By September 30, cumulative Workdrop payouts to miners had passed 2.95 million points.

  • DAOVERSE World Cup (July): 32 participants, 253 submissions, 366,000+ views, 39,469 points shared

  • Enter Elysium, Kinetiq (September): 33 participants, 96 posts, 66,143 views, 19,842 points shared

  • Community polls (September): 2,049 votes, 2,645 points shared

WhoTweets in Q3: the platform at work

Beyond the headline campaigns, everyday activity on WhoTweets paid Social Miners about 883,000 points between July 1 and September 30. Tasks, tweets and the Task Marketplace earned nearly all of it.

  • Tasks: 321,060 points from 2,527 submissions (127 pts avg) by 414 contributors

  • Tweets: 308,346 points from 6,922 tweets and 2,281 X articles by 394 contributors

  • Task Marketplace: 220,820 points from 36,419 validated engagements (384 engagers, 351 validators)

  • Retweets: 26,608 points from 6,036 retweets by 316 contributors

  • Featured Posts: 2,455 points from 584 validated engagements

  • Social Connect: 1,910 points from 955 rewarded connects by 534 contributors

  • Referral Rewards: 1,827 points from 1,321 matches claimed and 314 payouts to 82 contributors

Two patterns stand out. Long-form pays: an X article earned 61 points on average, more than twice the 25 points of a normal tweet. And the Task Marketplace's peer validation kept engagement honest, with 28,131 rewarded comments checked by 351 fellow miners.

Submissions held steady all quarter. Miners sent 11,359 submissions between July and September: about 4,500 in July, then roughly 3,400 in each of August and September. 1,772 were completed and none were left pending at quarter's end.

A shout-out to four Engagement Marketplace badge holders: damo088 (Fastest Engager), OlaEsther1234 (Top Engager), 2mrpc (Quality Engager) and MaritesPam56601 (Top Earner).

The Twitter Program: 9 million impressions

Social Miners' posts on X reached nearly 9 million impressions in Q3, and the audience grew every month. Monthly impressions rose from about 2.4 million in July to about 3.5 million in September, a gain of more than 40%.

  • Tweets posted: 9,203

  • Retweets posted: 13,026

  • Impressions: 8,960,381

  • Engagements generated: 834,825

  • Retweets generated: 287,288

  • Bookmarks: 11,147

That works out to roughly one engagement for every 11 impressions, an engagement rate of about 9.3%. Behind it is a network of 2,905 connected accounts with almost 3.9 million followers combined.

The community's favorite hashtag says it all: #SocialMining appeared in 4,139 tweets, followed by #DAOVERSE (1,162) and #WhoTweets (363). Our newest partner made the list too, with #CaffeBarberaHub in 27 tweets.

Looking ahead to Q4

Q4 builds on this momentum. Social Mining v2 on whotweets.com, live since June 30, keeps adding tools for miners and partners, and more community polls and Prediction Raffles are on the way.

To every Social Miner who wrote, designed, voted and validated this quarter: thank you. You proved that real contribution beats speculation, inside Web3 and beyond it. Keep building!
