The brief

Write an article explaining what OKX did right that let it keep working in Europe when many others couldn't. The lesson isn't "OKX is good, Binance is bad" — both had legal trouble. The lesson is about planning early and choosing the right place to apply.

Timeline: August 4 - August 12, 2026

Instructions

  1. Post your article on X and tag @OKX. Blue-tick users can post it as a proper long-form article for full points. If you're not a blue-tick user, you can post it as a thread instead — but a thread earns you a maximum of half the points (up to 250).

  2. Tell the story simply: OKX applied early in Malta and got its Europe license in January 2025, so it can work across all of Europe. Binance tried in Greece, then pulled its application in June 2026 — days before the deadline — and had to stop serving European users.

  3. Include the honest twist: OKX also paid a big US fine (~$500M) in 2025 but still kept its license — because it applied early. So the real lesson is "plan ahead," not "OKX is spotless." This twist makes your article smarter and more believable.

  4. Be fair to both sides. News reports said Greece was about to reject Binance; Binance says its application was fine and it chose to withdraw. Write it as "each side says…" — don't state "Binance was rejected" as a proven fact.

  5. Use at least 3 real news links with dates (CoinDesk, Reuters, the companies' own posts, etc.).

  6. Your own words only — no copy-paste.

  7. Don't: use fake quotes, say things you can't back up with a source, predict prices, or give money/legal advice.

Reward: Up to 500 pts + 0.01 Rep based on how good, accurate, fair, and well-sourced it is, plus reach.

Good example opening: "OKX keeping its EU access wasn't luck — it applied early in Malta back in January 2025. Binance waited and pulled its Greek application days before the deadline. Even OKX's own $500M US fine didn't stop it, because timing mattered more than size."

Bad example opening: "Binance got REJECTED and is FINISHED in Europe because it's a criminal company." (Unproven, one-sided, no sources, states disputed things as fact.)
