The brief
Requirements
Open to all: Anyone meeting the criteria below can joinBlockchain is no longer just a buzzword; it is an academic discipline being perfected in the halls of the world's most prestigious institutions. Your goal is to showcase this "Ivory Tower" of crypto.
Among Ivy League schools, Cornell is generally regarded as having the most advanced and comprehensive blockchain research program, having repeatedly been singled out in rankings as a top blockchain university. There are also strong cases for Yale, Columbia and Harvard in more specialized areas. Other high ranked institutions with less fame, trajectory or budget have similar research programs, but generally speaking most US universities value this technology and already have funding and enough resources to support and take it to the next level.
You will compose an insightful and well-researched X (Twitter) thread (at least 5-7 posts) identifying and highlighting the top three US universities leading the way in Blockchain Studies and single-out which one is at the very top of this Ivory Tower of Blockchain.
šInstructions
Use recent, credible sources (university sites, labs/centers, recognized rankings, reputable tech/crypto media) andā¦
Make your Thorough research: You must include Cornell University and at least two other Ivy League schools (for example: Yale, Columbia, Harvard, etc.), plus any other top US institutions you find with strong blockchain programs.
As a Hint: Post explicitly emphasizing Cornellās position among Ivy League schools as having one of the most advanced and comprehensive blockchain research programs, tying it back to rankings or recognitions.
Once you pick The Big Three: Your thread must research and feature the specific topic among the Blockchain technology leaders in:
Industry-leading research.
Presence of a local Center for Blockchain Research (CBR) or similar initiative in its -or their- multidisciplinary approach.
Highlight if thereās a Digital Currency Initiative (DCI), opening possibilities to promote massive adoption of this technology.
Discuss the kind of courses about Blockchain that those offer for students and outsiders.
Feature if they promote the Legal Adoption of Blockchain.
Formatting: You will use at least 5-7 posts to explain your point as long as you use a clear, short and amusing "Thread" format (1/n, 2/n, etc.).
Visuals: Suggest or include relevant imagery (campus icons, blockchain logos, or infographics to make your audience engage with your explanation).
Engagement: Tag the official accounts of these universities or their blockchain clubs to increase visibility. You may use up to 1ā2 relevant hashtags total (e.g., #Blockchain, #Web3, #CryptoEducation). Do not spam hashtags.
Call to Action: Ensure your tone is professional, educational, and forward-looking. End with a question for the community (e.g., "Which university do you think is driving the most innovation in Web3?", āWhich university should we spotlight next?ā or āTag a blockchain club we should follow.ā).
šÆSubmission Guidelines
We recommend the use of short paragraphs (1ā3 lines per post).
